Title: I hate running
Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us… – Hebrews 12:1c
Here’s the thing: I hate running! When the good Lord designed me, he did not have distance running in mind. This had no bearing to my college soccer coach, who insisted we run countless miles a day in Southern California in 110-degree heat. My coach knew that to achieve our goals, and we had to strengthen our lungs, legs, and hearts.
So too with the Lord. His will is that we work out the kinks by pressing on. All who believe the destination is in sight, but we can’t give up no matter the struggle. Does your heart hurt? Perseverance and pushing on is what is necessary to heal it. Are your legs weary from the journey? Keep going. He will strengthen you. Does it feel like the weight of the world is pressing on your soul? Persevere, in His strength
Real Men persevere no matter the struggle.
