Title: Embrace the suck
Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us… – Hebrews 12:1c
A term used even today in the armed forces to embrace the most difficult challenges ahead. I can’t help but think of this phrase today as I did in a text with a fellow manager of what the world faces today. Where do we go, what do we do, what we face today changes tomorrow. The Media TV, Radio, Newspaper, painting a pretty bad picture, with no answers or end in sight. Sunday in worship, the smallest turn out I have seen in my two-plus years at Cape Vineyard Church. Yet, Jason preaching his heart out. Kelly, the lead singer of our praise and worship band, belted out a song with more passion than I have ever seen in a singer. For me, usually not giving much attention to the music, it hit me! The answer lies in our perseverance and faith, there is one and only one “the One” who can bring an end to all this mess! “JESUS”
I will close with this, who parted the red sea, who raised the dead, who made a blind man see!
I will add a few scripture verses that are a starting point for us. Deuteronomy 31:6, Ephesians 2:8, Isaiah 41:10.
Real Men put their faith, focus on Jesus.
