Title: The Word Shapes Us
Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” – 1 Corinthians 15:33
Paul wrote this to the Corinthian Christians, who were associated with Jews, pagans, and Greek philosophers. They were conforming to this world and letting themselves be influenced by those around them.
As Christian men, we can’t let this world shape our thinking; we can’t be influenced to conform to the world’s thinking and accept things. It is tough because we want to fit in and go along with the crowd, but we can’t compromise our character to fit in. We are called to be different, the salt of the earth, the light in the world. How?
Christian men need to use the Word of God to shape us, not the evil of this world.
Real men use the Word of God to shape them
