Title: Encouragement builds Character
Do not be misled: “Bad Company corrupts good character.” – 1 Corinthians 15:33
I love hanging out with the guys, but frequently we tend to one-up each other with better jokes, and sometimes those jokes cross the line. Maybe you have experienced this with the guys you hang out with.
I wonder what hanging with Jesus and the disciples would have been like. I’m sure there was a lot of joking. After all, that’s one of the marks of hanging out with one another.
But I also imagine them encouraging one another and helping spot any dark areas in their life.
Who do you spend your time with? Do they encourage you to pursue the Lord? Do they challenge you to love and serve others around you? Do you do this for the people you spend time with?
