Title: Closing the Gap.
So I say, walk by the spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. Galatians 5:16
My character has a gap between myself and what God wants from me. The wider the gap, the easier it is to let the flesh creep in. It is easy to read this verse and take it as a right vs. wrong point of view instead of guidance.
I admit that the wrong never goes entirely away, but if I can close that gap between me and the Holy Spirit, there will be less room for fleshly desires to fill that gap.
Filling the gap with prayer, being in the word, and living with the fruits of the spirit in mind is key and must be intentional daily. The verse starts by saying, “Walk by the Spirit.” This is action on our part.
Real Men close the gap daily.
