So I say, walk by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. – Galatians 5:16
Do you ever feel like your flesh is challenging your Spirit, and your Spirit is challenging your flesh? Even as a redeemed Christian, there is an internal war for control. Whichever one is exercised the most will win the battle of choices.
I encourage you to deprive the flesh of indulging in the selfish desires of the soul (Gal 5:19); instead, fuel your Spirit with Prayer and the Word. Listening to wisdom and doing what the Holy Spirit asks of you.
If you focus your thoughts and actions on the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22), your choices will gravitate to them.
Take a moment today and examine the fruit of your life. What fruit do you see from walking in the Spirit?
