When I was a kid, porn was something I had to go out and pursue. Now, pornography has to be avoided. When searching the most innocent of terms online, it can jump onto the screen. When my kids were young, I hesitated to let them look as the search results could flicker to life.
It shouldn’t be this way. But men don’t sit around whining about “shouldn’t.” They find a different path.
Purity is becoming something we need to do. Purity isn’t a reaction; it’s a stasis of pro-action. We proactively avoid things that could snag our souls and drag us down. And that can look different for each of us. Not every man needs to do the same thing, but every man needs to be doing something.
What are you doing? Who are you exploring options with? What is your pro-action that could be an example to others?
Real men are an example in purity.
