The military and law enforcement now use bulletproof vests, which protect the chest and, more specifically, the heart. Rarely can you survive the damage done to the heart.
Paul wrote that we need to put on the breastplate of righteousness, which will protect our hearts. We need to remember that putting this breastplate on does not depend on our righteousness but the righteousness of Jesus, the one who never sinned.
Use the breastplate of righteousness to protect your hearts by depending on Jesus’ righteousness and not our own.
Real Men rely on the righteousness of Jesus.
