Title: More than fighting
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Ephesians 6:11
Confession time; I struggle identifying with the imagery for warrior and weapons. The only need I can come up with for weapons is the zombie apocalypse and the likelihood of that happening is slim to none, so I am left with nothing! But as much as we get caught up in the images of weapons, we can still use our brain, passion, creativity and drive as weapons.
Let us not get carried away with weapons that are just tools we use, but let us use things that can have just as much power if not more, by the words we use and the way we stand up for others. Being a warrior is so much more than fighting; it’s fighting for the vulnerable and stepping into the misery and margins.
Real men battle with more than just weapons.
