Title: Our struggle isn’t against people
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. – Ephesians 6:12
Our struggle isn’t against democrats or republicans, Christians or Muslims, little brothers or big sisters, cops or robbers, cat people or dog people, insiders or outsiders, conservatives or liberals, black or white people.
It’s easy to forget because we feel the flesh and blood as it slaps us across the face. Anger boils as laws are passed and jobs are cut. The wind stops, and our sails sag as we watch the nightly news.
But our struggle isn’t against any of these. It goes deeper. It goes to the “spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Let’s not forget this. If we do, we end up fighting the people God intended us to love.
Real Men know their enemy.
