Title: Who is the enemy?
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. – Ephesians 6:12
A few years ago, I read a series of books entitled The Chronicles of the Door by Gene Edwards. The books tell the story of significant events in time from the perspective of the Angels. It covers the Creation… the fall of man… God’s relationship with his people… the birth of Christ… his resurrection. I was riveted and read all five books over a weekend. One section of the books Michael the Archangel and an Angel called Recorder have a showdown. It was during the scourging, Jesus told Michael not to intervene no matter what he saw. Michael wanted to disobey God and slay the Romans. The recorder had to step in front and asked a question who is your enemy, Michael.
I ask the same question, guys. Who is your enemy? Is your battle against your boss, noisy neighbors, or perhaps crazy drivers? Satan is the enemy; he looks to undo the work of God. It is him who we do battle with, so don’t waste your time with those other things. In the battle for souls, make sure you engage the correct enemy.
Real men engage the enemy.
