Title: Recognize the lie
For the battle is not yours, but God’s, 2 Chronicles 20:15c
Can you imagine what it would be like to fight without God? Maybe you can’t, or perhaps you have tried. If you have attempted to, you have probably found it challenging. It’s like trying to make a car work with no fuel, oil, or battery!
Many of the battles in the Old Testament were won because God guided them. Moses stood on a mountaintop with his hands raised until the fight was over, and his friends helped him keep his hands raised so they would win the battle! Without God, they would have failed and lost!
The enemy will try to tell you again and again, “You don’t need God. You can make it on your own.” Recognize that lie and refuse to go into battle with that sort of false confidence.
Let us be men who battle not on our strength but with God.
