At first glance, the idea of talking about Warriors and Battles on Christmas Eve is a little odd, right? But God’s plan of a battle and how to go about fighting is very different from ours. He begins with a baby born in a barn, and from there, He changes the world. It’s the ultimate winning battle plan. And it’s His plan.
It’s a good reminder for today. I have to admit; I tend to get a little too self-focused today. With all the presents to open and all the food to eat, it is so easy to lose focus on God and think about the next cookie I want to try or how to spend my Guitar Center gift card.
Christmas can feel like a battle sometimes! This verse reminds us that there is a more significant battle going on, and God has it under control. We can have peace and comfort, knowing that God’s plan will win out in the end.
