Title: Invite God In
Offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. – Romans 12:1b
I play bass on our worship team, and I love to serve, but I often miss the point of worship. It becomes mechanical, rehearsed, and a task. No matter how you worship, whether serving, praying, tithing, or reading the Bible, does it become a task or mechanical, a checklist, if you will?
To help us remember what worship is, we must humble ourselves. We must realize that God is the one who can heal the sick physically and spiritually, save the lost, and bring us closer to Him. We cannot do those things without Him; we can only worship and request His presence in all things.
So, no matter how you worship, it is an invitation to invite God into our churches, hearts, families, and lives. Worship brings the Holy Spirit into our space as the body of Christ and into our personal walk with Jesus.
Make worship intentional with the thought of it being an invitation to our Lord, not a task.
Real men Invite God into our presence through worship.
