Title: Seek to Please God
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. – 1 Corinthians 15:58
Wavering is something that can happen to the best of us. As men, we juggle a lot; I’ve talked about it before, but when we lose the fact that we should be working as if working for God, that’s when we waver.
Paul tells us that we shouldn’t let anything move us. As men, we have to think about our work as if God is our boss, as if he was watching over our shoulders all day at our office or in the field. If we seek to please God in every email we write or every interaction we have, nothing can move us.
Think about it this week: as you write emails and letters or as you deal with that supervisor, is that how I’m dealing with this pleasing God?
Real Men work as if God is looking over their shoulder.
