Title: I was a wrestler
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. – 1 Cor. 15:58
I was a wrestler in high school. The first thing I learned was to have a proper “wrestler’s stance.” Feet spread, knees bent, body-centered over your leading leg. A proper stance makes it harder for your opponent to shoot in on you and take you down. It also puts you in a good position to go on the offensive when needed. Without a proper stance, you are going to be defeated.
Your spiritual life is no different. You’ve got to have a good foundation. That’s what standing firm in the Lord is… it’s your foundation.
As you go through your day today, think about your “stance.” Are you standing firm in the Lord?
Real men have a good foundation.
