“Exalt the Lord our God and worship at His footstool: He is Holy. Psalm 99:5
 
Can we ask ourselves, am I exalting Jesus for the right reason, or am I exalting Him to get from Him?
 
On Palm Sunday, a great crowd looked to exalt Jesus for the wrong reason. Picture a King riding in on a small Donkey. This had to make the crowd scratch their heads. The crowd looked to Jesus as a political savior who would take care of their immediate needs, not so much as a spiritual Savior. Often, the crowds followed Jesus only for what they could get from Him, and most of His audience rejected any kind of personal commitment to Him.
 
Exalt Jesus as the world’s creator, the King for eternity, and our Savior.
