Title: Exalt Him every day
For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. – Matthew 23:12
To exalt is to praise and lift up. On Sunday, many of us attend church to worship and praise God. We sing, pray, listen to sermons, and serve. These are all great, and God loves all of these things. He loves to see the church gather in his name.
Now, what do we do the other six days of the week? Who do we exalt or praise? I know it is very easy for me to get into a routine during the week. I wake up, I work, I eat, and I sleep. I am a father, a husband, and a man of the routine. When I reflect on this verse, I realize I often leave God out. I know he is there, but I forget to exalt him for all I have, mostly the simple things. Oh, I praise and exalt him for the big stuff that can only be a God thing but miss the chance to humble myself and exalt him in all things.
Praising and worshiping God is not just for Sundays. Exalt Him every day.
Real Men exalt God in all things every day.
