Title: Posture for Worship
Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy. – Psalm 99:5
Most men gravitate to places, circumstances, and relationships where they can stand tall and strong, which isn’t all bad. There can be a healthy expression of pride and personal confidence that can serve and inspire others.
But that isn’t the posture we are to have in worship. Worship isn’t about standing tall and strong. It’s about worshiping the one who is ALWAYS tall and strong. God has never had a weak moment. He is faithful to every promise He has made. There isn’t an ounce of self-serving arrogance in Him.
And because of that, we worship at his footstool. Our worship should remind ourselves and others that our place in life is to be humble in his presence and place our confidence in who He is.
And when we do that, we exalt him.
Real Men exalt the Lord through worship.
