Title: Discover God
Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. – Matthew 10:32
On most Fridays, I pick my kids up from their elementary school. Anywhere from 18-30 adults linger outside the front doors waiting for the school day to end. Most of them are women, a few of us are men…and most of the men are hiding behind their phones looking serious and exporting an impression of importance.
Then the kids come out, around 580 of them. They are looking to get on a bus, find a parent, or plug-in to some after school activity.
In a sea of people… I’m only looking for two people…my kids. And when they find me, or I see them, we usually great one another with a hug and a “how was your day?”
In many ways, that should be the attitude of our worship…of our lives. Looking to discover God in a sea of activities, responsibilities, people, and projects. Our focus should be on our Father and how he has found us and longs to be with us.
Real men look for God everywhere.
