Title: His not ours
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. – Matthew 6:33
May the man with the most toys win. For many men, this could sum up their lives: get the most stuff and enjoy life. Do you know what happens to stuff? It can control us, and when we get too caught up in getting more, we lose sight of what’s essential. Stuff doesn’t equal happiness. It might provide excitement for a bit, but it won’t cure the hunger for more.
God even goes as far as to tell us to seek first his kingdom, the lasting kingdom, the kingdom of eternity. The kingdom that lasts and doesn’t fade.
Let us be men who invest our time and energy into God’s kingdom, not ours.
Real men build God’s kingdom.
