Title: On the Fly
Text: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters… – Colossians 3:23
My current employer once said in a meeting, “we are building this plane while in the air.” I have grown to loathe this statement as it conflicts with a deep need inside me…the need to plan. While I dislike this statement, I have to relent that I have “lived on the fly.” As much of my life has been on the fly, I have to realize that not one moment in God’s plan has been “on the fly.”
Our all-knowing Creator has set events into motion before the world’s foundation, and nothing has surprised Him. He asks us to trust His mighty plan, and work at this life with all our might. There are going to be times when life feels like you’re about to crash and burn, but God is not trusting your life to a relaxed attitude of life on the fly. He simply wants you to build a relationship with Him, and believe that “all things will work together to those that love Him.”
Real men trust in His mighty plan.
