Title: Do It For the Family
Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called today. – Hebrews 3:13a
“For the Family” is a phrase I have often used with my children. On many occasions, it has been a low voice out of Dad’s hearing range, a comment or joke about the phrase. But I say it to encourage them to worship, take family vacations, have a simple family meal, or encourage one another. I strive for this, growing up in a relatively large family that mostly did not share this philosophy.
With both parents passing on and with God now, I often look back and have regrets about choosing work over their choices. So now, I have friendships with my children, and I will continue my quest to strive for family togetherness.
“But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever “1 Timothy 5:8
