Title: The gift of Encouragement


Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” – Hebrews 3:13a


Encouragement, I believe, is a gift of exceptional ability to inspire others to reach their full potential. We must do so by challenging, comforting, and guiding in a way that people are motivated. Some great ways to show encouragement are, speaking to others, perhaps an uplifting note, providing assistance, praying with someone. As Christian men, we must utilize this gift for others to grow spiritually as well. Encouragement requires us to walk the walk, and we can not encourage others without living a disciplined faith life ourselves.

Rebecca and I have lived in SW Florida since 2018, moving from Valparaiso, IN, where they raised three children, William III, Patrick, and Rachel. Bill and Rebecca have been married for 29 years. I currently work for White Lodging Services, and Rebecca is officially retired from school teaching. As a couple, we attend Cape Vineyard Community Church in Cape Coral, FL. Rebecca and I are very active at Cape Vineyard: Rebecca in children’s ministry, and I in band media and supporting facilities.
My interests include Hunting/Fishing and traveling with Rebecca to visit the children and grandchildren. My happy place is the UP of Michigan, where Rebecca and I share time their now.
