Title: Choose to Build up
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up – Ephesians 4:29
How do we build a person up? First, think of how we would tear down a person: harsh criticism, negative comments, and discouraging words. So, how would we build up a person? By encouraging words, helpful actions, motivational or nurturing speech, and feeling the moment.
When constructing a house, individual parts are added according to need: lumber, bricks, wire, plumbing, paint, and more. Each part plays a role in constructing the house. Speech can do the same thing by adding a timely and beneficial word that will contribute to a person’s growth and development.
Every day, we have the power to show grace to someone using timely and encouraging words. Men, It’s not just a possibility; it’s a responsibility we all share.
Real Men build and encourage one another.
