Title: A Humble Man
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up – Ephesians 4:29
It is no fun when someone walks in and overhears you saying something that wasn’t intended for them to hear. We get that feeling of blood rushing from our heads and the embarrassment of having to face that person. A few words can tear someone down fast. Also, I am sure we have all been in a spot where we have been talked about, so we know the feeling on that side as well. Why can’t we think of those feelings and the feelings of others before we say something that hurts?
It seems we have difficulty building people up because it feels funny and awkward. But it takes a humble man to encourage and build others up. It takes a real man to think of others first and to recognize an opportunity to say or do something nice for someone. Choose to build someone up today and think before you speak.
Real Men build and encourage one another.
