Title: Sameness
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up. – Ephesians 4:29a
To be authentic, we need to be the same person in every situation. For instance, at work, at home, at social functions. This “sameness,” or lack thereof, certainly appears in our words. While we need to use discretion about what we say depending on the context, it’s good to consider if our words build others up or tear them down. We should also look at what we say about ourselves. Do you have a clear conscience about the words you use? Do your words align with God’s truth? Check it.
Real Men are authentic in all instances.
