Title: Facade
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up. – Ephesians 4:29a
When I think of the word Facade most days, I think of the exterior of one of my hotel buildings. Today my thoughts went to my facade as a Christian man and Christian men in general.
I began to think of how I appear to others vs how I am in my faith and do I totally give myself to Jesus. I certainly challenge myself and don’t always live up to the challenge, and I ask is this just me or is this normal to question myself. Over the years even given me the name at times as a staged Christian. I earned the name one-day serving communion to my congregation just about one hour after I cursed my children up and down for fighting me on attending worship. It hit me like a ton of bricks, today was one of those days again as I but on many facades, whether it be of the hotel executive, father, husband, Ex-soldier or a faithful Christian man giving myself totally to him each and every day in all my actions.
Real men wear The true Christian Facade every day in all aspects of their life.
