Title: Deadly Cargo
Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. – Matthew 10:32
Martyrdom. Not exactly a pleasant topic, but one repeatedly addressed in Scripture—including the context for this one—as well as throughout church history and in headlines today.
Apparently, holding a belief that a benevolent creator has chosen a particular plan (Jesus) to rescue His creation from their rebellion against Him is deadly cargo.
Of course, it’s not the belief itself—but the articulation of it—that confronts and confounds those who oppose Jesus as “the” way to peace with God. The violent reaction to the notion that “their” way is not God’s way is what gets people killed.
Nevertheless . . .
Real Men acknowledge Jesus before others.
