At Heartland Church we used “The Real Man Card” as a half-day men’s conference to show and explain to the men how The Man Card worked. It was an incredible 5-hour experience for men to learn about The Man Card and for the guy’s to meet one another. No time was wasted as we dug deep into God’s Word and could see how it applies to our lives. We combined engaging Bible teaching with interactive spiritual discussions, special guest speakers, great music and BBQ to the menu and this day is a HUGE HIT for men of all ages! At Grace Chapel we have found the Real Man Card to be a valuable resource in helping us cultivate a masculine culture and center our community. The Man Card helps us define the conversation of what it means to be a man. With a common language and metaphor we are able to build a masculine culture and provide a focus and depth that facilities the process of being the men God has called us to be. The language and concepts that The Man Card introduces gives us a way to describe what God is calling us to. That in turn, helps us put Jesus at the center of our conversations, beliefs, and actions.
The 2014/15 Calendar gives us a wide variety of opportunity to explore how we will use The Man Card. Below are three things we are currently doing to highlight the truths the Man Card highlights
Man Trips :: These are 4 day trips in God’s creation with men who are discovering what it means to be the men God has called us to be. Using The Man Card as our guide we highlight the responsibilities we carry as men and the call to pursue godliness. With a focus on scripture and the opportunity to process the content through discussion these trips have helped us cultivate a culture around the true biblical meaning of masculinity.
Men’s Groups :: Our desire is that every man in our church be plugged into a community of men who are pursuing Jesus and his best for their life. We are currently equipping leaders to use The Man Card as a center point to challenge, encourage, and celebrate one another with a common language that has depth and meaning.
Men’s Events :: Every 2-3 months we gather men around an event that focuses on a specific trait found in The Man Card. We’ve done everything from Men’s Breakfasts, paintball, dad fishing days, etc. to use an event to illustrate a truth found in The Man Card.

HAZELL DELL CHRISTIAN CHURCH

The Real Man Card Thursday night Bible study. The group used the card topic words to create 28 men’s Bible studies that we could share and use. The Bible studies consisted of the 4 words for each day and that is how the 28 Bibles studies came about. The Bible studies were written by Scott Mitchell and reviewed by other Pastors to ensure good biblical foundations and consistencies were met for men’s group. After each study was written and reviewed they were tested and put into action each week in the men’s Bible study group and we had very good feedback from the men’s group that participated in the creation of these studies.
As a group all 28 studies were completed and the studies are currently being edited. The overall idea of the study is to give real life practical application to the chosen words on The Real Man Card. The studies are designed to have a leaders guide for one leader of the group and it is outlined to encourage discussion among the group, very open and fluid. It is a study to help men share their issues with each other and promote accountability among each other.
