Title: Follow instructions
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Prov 3:5
How many times have you done it? You buy something, and the most dreaded words to a man are on the packaging. “Some assembly required.” These words are enough to bring some of us to our knees. Based on this staring technique, we will stare at the picture on the package and convince ourselves that we can complete the task at hand. Under no circumstances would we ever think to look at the directions. Hours later, beating and holding on to our last hope, we pick them up. Viola, it’s done in minutes, and the finished product is beautifully assembled.
When God has stirred your spirit to do something for Him, how many times have you refused to stop and read the directions that God has put in front of you? We know that we can do it better or worse and that we actually don’t need His instructions to accomplish the work He has called us to. We will not surrender, no sir. We can do this, well some things we can’t do, and unless you move to exterminate this prideful nature, you may be missing the completion of a mighty work.
What keeps you from surrendering? Will you make an effort to stop and listen to directions?
Real men surrender to His will.
