Title: Our Intuition
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. – Proverbs 3:5
Counterintuitive. I love writing this word on a whiteboard and asking a group what it means. After a lively discussion, it’s established . . . “to go against what comes naturally (our intuition).”
We are separated from God by sin; our understanding and perspective are our only means of interpreting reality.
The problem is that our lens is fogged with, “What’s in it for ME?”
Once reconciled to God in Christ, we are no longer bound to our naturally selfish inclinations and self-serving perspectives! We have been empowered to die to ourselves, live for God, and reach others with His love, despite what may come “naturally.”
Real men are counterintuitive.
