Title: Follow instructions
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Prov 3:5
How many times have you done it? You buy something and on the packaging are the most dreaded words to a man. “Some assembly required.” These words are enough to bring some of us to our knees. We will stare at the picture on the package and convince ourselves we can complete the task at hand based on this staring technique. Under no circumstances would we ever think to look at the directions. Hours later beat and holding on to our last hope we pick them up. Viola, it’s done in minutes and the finished product is beautifully assembled.
When God has stirred your spirit to do something for Him how many times have you refused to stop and read the directions that God has put in front of you? We just know that we can do it better or worse that we actually don’t need His instructions to accomplish the work He has called us to. We will not surrender no sir we can do this, well some things we can’t do, and unless you move to exterminate this prideful nature, you may be missing completion of a mighty work. What keeps you from surrendering? Will you make an effort to stop and listen to direction?
Real men surrender to His will.
