Title: Losing Control
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding – Proverbs 3:5
“The Lord is my light and my salvation-whom shall I fear…?”- Psalm 27:1
One of the first things we think of when we think of Indiana is the Indy 500, right? The drivers, the festivals, and the time we spend as a family during Memorial Day. When race day comes around, or when the drivers climb into their cars, they are focused on one thing, and that is winning. They win by being in complete control over their race cars and ensuring they are as safe as they can be going around the track. As men, we need to focus on trying to do the same thing with our spiritual journey. We are in control of our relationship with God. When the drivers lose control of their car, they crash, and it is painful. The same thing applies to our relationship with God. The moment we lose that control and doubt that we can reel it back in, that’s when life hurts. Losing that control is easy, going the distance may seem hard, and we will often want to quit. Going the distance and keeping hold of our lives and our relationship with God is a lot more prosperous at the end.
Real men take control and go the distance.
