Title: Formal Confession
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. – James 5:16
I remember how formal confession was growing up as a Catholic, a formal day of the week, and you were not allowed to take communion unless you did go. You went into a private confessional and spoke with Father. You typically were given a list of prayers to pray for after the confession was made. It was very private and formal. How do we confess our sins today to God? Are we very traditional, do we pray afterward, do we have an accountability partner so we can be open and honest about our sins and not be judged?
