Title: Solid Wreckage
“The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one” Psalm 28:8
In one of the locations I go to for work, there lies a 5-foot chunk of mangled steel. This chunk of steel has seen its better days. In its heyday, this chunk of steel supported a structure hundreds of times its size. Often unnoticed and taken for granted, this hunk of steel served out its mighty purpose for roughly 35 years until one fateful day, it all came crashing down. If you haven’t figured it out yet, the chunk of steel is part of a memorial to the men and women who lost their lives on 9/11.
After watching the events of that day, I am amazed at how anything from that event was salvaged. Pieces of steel have been sent to all parts of the globe. Part of the steel was used to build the USS New York.
Men of faith have that same strength within them. You serve a mighty God who intends to strengthen and protect you. Maybe your life is like the wreckage after 9/11. Our God is stronger than steel and will hold up to any attacks. Trust in Him. He will not break. He will stand firm.
Real Men rely on the Lord for their strength.
