Title: Integrity at all costs
Till I die, I will not deny my integrity. – Job 27:5b
I work for FedEx, so I have no supervision once I start making my deliveries. One thing that stands out about my work is that I have set deadlines for when packages have to be off my truck. I must also follow policies and procedures that frankly interfere with my job sometimes, but I do it because it’s the right thing to do. It would be effortless for me to cheat and say I made a delivery on time when I didn’t. Enter my work accountability partner… the internet. I can now be watched, packages can be tracked, and people know where every one of their packages is all of the time. Now don’t get the wrong idea; I don’t cheat; I have my integrity.
Integrity is loosely defined as doing what is right when no one is watching. What would one gain by being dishonest? As men of God, we should strive to maintain our integrity at all costs because we don’t know who is watching. In our walk, we don’t want to do anything that will bring shame to our God. Guys, ask daily for the strength to maintain your integrity because, in the end, that’s all we are left with when all else is stripped away.
Real men guard their integrity.
