Title: Refined by the Fire
Till I die I will not deny my Integrity – Job 27:5b
Steelmaking is the process of producing steel from iron and ferrous ores and scrap. In steelmaking, impurities such as nitrogen, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, and excess carbon are removed from the raw iron. Alloying elements such as manganese, nickel, chromium, and vanadium are added to produce different steel grades. This process requires a tremendous amount of heat to clear out the impurities and only leave the necessary elements.
Much like the process of making steel, so too is our spiritual walk with Christ. The Lord is taking us through a process of refinement only to leave essential elements for a Christ-centered life. Those refined elements are what the Lord desires we cling to until we die. The method may require things to be burnt off. It may be painful at times, but what is left over is pure and strong enough to build upon.
Real men welcome refinement through the fire.
