Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. – James 5:16
We often go, go, go. Our days are full of work, family and overall busyness. I strongly dislike telling someone how busy I am. One thing that happens in my busyness is I forget to pause, to rest and to find solitude. In life, we forget to do one thing; surrender and confess our sins. It’s easy to keep a tight wall around ourselves, to show others we have it together or we don’t struggle with this issue or that issue. The longer we keep our sins to ourselves, the longer we hold ourselves captive.
Something happens when we confess; darkness is brought to light. All the sin we are holding inside of ourselves is brought into the open. The lies and their power are unbound. This doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy, but it frees us and lets the enemy have less power in our lives.
If you are not in a rhythm of confession, confess to God and close friends. If we want to continue to be men surrendered, we must posture ourselves and sin before God.
Real Men are surrendered.
